gm, folks!
What a busy few weeks at Octant! Epoch 6 was pretty exciting and we saw lots of engagement from projects and our community up until the last minute. Those last-minute reminders definitely helped because we saw ranks shift until the very end.
Things have been in full-swing at Octant – v2 soft launch to the ENS community, and the launch of the climate round with our partners, Climate Coordination Network (CCN). Add in blockparties, townhalls, and a bunch of community fund grantees and we've got dragon energy (you'll have to attend our next townhall if you didn't get this v2 reference).
💚 Epoch 6 Results
💚 288.2 ETH allocated to projects (that's ~$929,920!)
💚 181 ETH claimed by users
💚 19x matched average leverage
💚 30 projects supported
That's a whopping 469.2 ETH in total distributed to the Octant community since we started!

Applications for Epoch 7 are finally open. We're excited to host the Octant Climate Epoch in partnership with Climate Coordination Network (CCN). 🌱
📅 Application Deadline: 13 February, 2025
To qualify for this round, projects must fall under one of these categories:
- Infrastructure: Tools like oracles and dMRV that accelerate climate action or remove GHGs.
- Nature/Ocean Solutions: Projects restoring and protecting ecosystems or promoting marine conservation.
- Climate Adaptation/Resilience: Helping communities and ecosystems adapt to climate change.
- Renewable Energy: Driving clean energy innovations.
Other requirements:
- Projects must be at least 1 year old. We’ll verify using Twitter, domain registration, and public records.
- We prioritize early-stage projects with limited prior funding but big potential for ecosystem impact.
