What's Gitcoin?
Gitcoin builds tools that allow communities to distribute capital efficiently and effectively so they can fund what matters to them. Since 2017, Gitcoin has contributed over $60 million with the Gitcoin Grants program, seeding the next generation of open source tooling in web3.

Epoch 1/2 funding to fund joint Community Round Initiatives with the launch of Octant’s Community Fund.
Upcoming milestones include:
- Partner with Octant to redirect funds from Epochs to joint Community Round Initiatives with the launch of Octant’s Community Fund.
- We have refocused the grants program to primarily fund OSS. This was an intentional move to deepen our investment in what we believe is the most meaningful role that our program can play in Ethereum’s growth.
