The Ethereum Cat Herders is a community-driven group focused on supporting the Ethereum ecosystem.
We're often engaged in community outreach and education efforts. We help to explain complex technical concepts to a broader audience with PEEPanEIP, increase awareness about Ethereum's development, and encourage community participation by holding hands with new contributors.
While the Ethereum Cat Herders do not directly control governance, we facilitate discussions and help gather community consensus on various proposals, contributing to a more democratic and participatory decision-making process by organizing EIPIP meetings.
By providing regular updates and reports on the work being done within the Ethereum ecosystem, the Cat Herders enhance transparency, which is vital for trust and accountability in a decentralized project.
What's interesting about Cat Herders?
We produce educational materials and resources to help the broader community understand complex technical aspects of Ethereum's development. We organize and facilitate various Ethereum developer meetings, ensuring that agendas are set, meetings are productive, and key points are documented. We are engaged in governance discussions to help form a more inclusive and effective decision-making process within the Ethereum community. We promote diversity and inclusion within the Ethereum developer community, encouraging participation from a wide range of individuals.
Progress since epoch 1:
On the eve of the Dencun Public Testnet, we launched "Learn2Earn-Dencun" quiz to increase community involvement to learn EIPs getting into the upgrade and earn NFT after answering quiz.
