This interview is a part of our on-going series, where we highlight our epoch 2 participants.

What's Giveth?
Giveth is a zero-fee, year-round, multichain donation platform that offers quadratic funding, public good project verification & rewards for donors.

Why should you vote for Giveth in epoch 2?

Giveth has been around since 2016 and has been steadfast in our mission to empower real-world public goods projects with web3 fundraising mechanisms.

The funds we received in epoch two will be split 50/50:

  • 50% going to our matching pool to fund verified public goods projects through quadratic funding rounds on Giveth
  • 50% going to paying the salaries of our team so we can continue to maintain & improve our platform and products

Giveth users benefit from being able to donate or fundraise on our platform for free. We don't charge any fees and to-date have relied predominately on donations, product build grants, and web3 public goods funding experiments like Octant to fuel our team.

Your vote in epoch 2 makes it possible for us to keep growing and supporting diverse grassroots projects to make an impact on our planet, our communities and our world.

Cool metrics: we used $35,000 of the funds received from previous epochs to co-sponsor QF rounds on Giveth, which acted as a catalyst for more donations, leading to a total of $91,000 USD going to verified public goods through QF.

Also, since July 2023, we have onboarded over 100 new verified public goods projects to Giveth, and helped projects raise over $493,000 of donations in crypto through our platform.

Progress since epoch 1:

In addition to the QF rounds mentioned above (where we used funds from Octant to triple the impact on verified public goods projects), we have used funds to support our team, adding continued improvements on the dapp such as integrating wallet connect v2, adding multisig compatibility for project owners and donors, creating multilingual optimization (so that the dapp loads in Spanish for Spanish-speaking countries), making backend improvements to improve our dapp's performance to support greater numbers of users, and more.
